Hello Youths(:
Can anyone recall anything about the Charity Concert Pastor spoken to us last Saturday?

Here’s a little story behind it :

About two and half months ago, Port-au-Prince of Haiti was devastated by an earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale. Three million people are left homeless and the death toll counting 150,000 and still rising.

The need for shelter, food and medical supplies is tremendous. And it is reported that it will take 10 years for Haiti to rebuild.

Youth More Than Gold (YMTG - an initiative of the Evangelical Fellowship of Singapore, Sports Coalition Singapore and other like-minded Christian organisations) is partnering with churches in Singapore, together with World Vision, Oops! Asia (S’pore) Integrity Meida, Beep Music, Yellow Octopus, YOLO and Campus Crusade Asia Ltd and responding to the need for shelter, food, medical supplies and rebuilding efforts in Haiti by organising “Let Haiti Sing Again” Charity Concert.

This concert will be held on:
Date : 30th April 2010 (Friday)
Venue: Lighthouse Evangelism (81 Woodlands Circle)
Time: 7.30p.m to 9.30p.m

I believe this will be a great and wonderful opportunity for our youths and all to rise up and respong together to do good and bring the message of hope to the nation of Haiti.

Please remember to get permission from your parents if you’re going for this event and confirm your attendance with your group leaders (: Church will be paying for the tickets(:

Hello Youths, I thought I have something funny to share with you all since we are on the current topic of BGR (:

here it goes: HUSBANDS FOR SALE !

A store that sells husbands has just opened in New York City , where a woman may go to choose a husband. Among the instructions at the entrance is a description of how the store operates.

You may visit the store ONLY ONCE!

There are six floors and the attributes of the men increase as the shopper ascends the flights. There is, however, a catch .... You may choose any man from a particular floor, or you may choose to go up a floor, but you cannot go back down except to exit the building!

So, a woman goes to the Husband Store to find a husband. On the first floor the sign on the door reads:
Floor 1 - These men have jobs and love the Lord.

The second floor sign reads:
Floor 2 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, and love kids.

The third floor sign reads:
Floor 3 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids and are extremely good looking.

'Wow,' she thinks, but feels compelled to keep going. She goes to the fourth floor and sign reads:

Floor 4 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are drop- dead good looking and help with the housework.

'Oh, mercy me!' she exclaims, 'I can hardly stand it!' Still, she goes to the fifth floor and sign reads:

Floor 5 - These men have jobs, love the Lord, love kids, are drop- dead gorgeous, help with the housework, and have a strong romantic streak.

She is so tempted to stay, but she goes to the sixth floor and the sign reads:

Floor 6 - You are visitor 4,363,012 to this floor. There are no men on this floor. This floor exists solely as proof that women are impossible to please. Thank you for shopping at the Husband Store. Watch your step as you exit the building, and have a nice day!

Hey youths!

As briefed on Saturday, while our parents are away in Johor Bahru, we will staying in Singapore having our own Music Camp. Excited? :D

Just a reminder, the dates for the camp are 15th to 17th of March, and it will NOT be a stay in camp. Just a simple day camp, where we will be having our own activities, including some teaching sessions by guest speakers like Pastor Martin Tang, who will be teaching song writing! :0

So remember to sign up for it latest by 6th March, and do invite your friends!

To every destination, there is an arrival and a departure time, just like it is the time to depart (say farewell) to our past(2009) and to arrive at the present (2010). The journey begins when we arrive at the destination. There will be a gamut of emotions unique to everyone during this period of time: from exhilaration, excitement , joy and hope to shame, regret, disappointment, guilt and sadness. Whatever the process may be, we want finally to have a memorable time of the journey. And of course most importantly whatever destination we may be at in our lives (be it a hard life in school, crisis at jobs, or happiness at home), we want to be where God is: Destination Jesus!
